Sandy & Ryan :: San Diego Engagement

Sandy and Ryan are one of those couples that you just love working with. Their energy is contagious and it’s impossible not to have a great time with them!  For their engagement session we started off at the historic Balboa Park.

We walked around taking full advantage of all the beautiful backdrops the park has to offer.  We even stopped in some of my favorite spots like Spanish Village, the Alcazar Garden and or course all the beautiful Spanish style arched hallways.

We then took a short 15 minute drive over to Torrey Pines State Park and Reserve, but not before getting one very important photo for Ryan.  You see Ryan is a very avid golfer and had to have one photo of the world renowned  Torrey Pines Golf course overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Sandy absolutely loved the“woodsy” look and feel of the Torrey Pines covering the ocean cliffs.  We found a few large groves back lit by the warm rays of the setting sun and captured some stunning portraits.  It was perfect!

We made our way down the hill to the beach and shot candid style portraits along the coast waiting for the sun to set on the water.  Sandy and Ryan were so natural and needed little direction.  The images turned out better than I could have ever imagined.  I’m truly looking forward to their wedding later this year and am honored that I am able to be part of such a monumental day in their lives.
