Chih & Joe :: Darlington House :: La Jolla Ca

What a wonderful wedding Chih and Joe put on for their family and friends.  They chose the beautiful Darlington House in La Jolla to celebrate their special day.  The natural, timeless look of the historic wedding venue provided us with a gorgeous backdrop.  Lush, green gardens with a mixture of Spanish and Victorian architecture added to the amazing ambiance.

I loved how heartfelt and true the ceremony was.  Chih and Joe elected to read their own vows to one another, and I have to say, I think my favorite part of the wedding was Joe’s vows.  It was comical yet touching.  One minute you were laughing and the next you were tearing up.

Just before the sunset I took the couple around to the side of the property.  The sun light was warm and just about to set on the ocean.  We spent about 5 minutes capturing some awesome backlit portraits just before the light was gone.

The reception was a blast! Chih and Joe’s guest enjoyed a wonderful dinner and dancing all night long.  Nothing was missing and everything had gone just as it should.  It was a perfect day for two people who loved each other very much.  I was honored to be part of such a special day in Chih and Joe’s lives.
