Tammie & Mark :: The San Diego Museum of Art

Uncategorized

This was such a fantastic wedding to be a part of! Tammie and Mark are an amazing couple to work with. It was also special for me to shoot their wedding since I had never photographed their venue, The San Diego Museum of Art. I always get excited to work at wedding venues that I have never photographed before.  It was exhilarating to explore and scout out different areas that I knew Tammie and Mark would love.

The day began at a hotel on Harbor Island, where we met Tammie and her fantastic bridesmaids. It was a pleasure working with such an organized and fun group of ladies. It was absolutely breathtaking to capture Tammie stepping into her gorgeous wedding gown and watching her closest family members and friends make certain every detail was perfect.

Tammie and Mark chose to have a First Look so they could take advantage of the light since the sun tends to set much earlier in November. I am so thankful that they decided on this because we were able to capture amazing portraits in the surrounding gardens of the historic Balboa Park. The lighting was absolutely magical as the warm rays of the sun cut through the garden walls.

Next, we shot the lovely couple saying their “I do’s” in front of their guests. The sun dropped and gave way to an remarkably lit reception.  LED up lighting illuminated the massive columns in the spacious out door reception area.  Market lighting draped over the dance floor providing a soft, warm glow as Tammie and Mark’s guests danced and celebrated the night away.

We finished this night with a sparkler exit putting the final touch on a beautiful day. Congratulation to you both on the perfect beginning to the rest of your lives together!
